Brain Break Day at SubhaNiketan - As a part of practical learning, students of classes 1 and 2 witnessed different clothes and things that will be used in different seasons which were been arranged in the school. They learnt a lot about seasons, seasonal fruits, vegetables, flowers, clothes etc.,

As an activity children decorated their toy shirts and frocks by leaf printing.

Radha Saptami at Subha Niketan School

On the occasion of Radhasaptami (24-01- 2018) Management,
teachers and students of #SubhaNiketan performed
#SuryaNamaskaras whole heatedly in the school premises. Suryanamaskaras / Sun Salutation is not only complete sadhana
(spiritual practice) but also activate the endocrine system helping to build strength and flexibility. #Niketians performed a set of 12 Asana’s that massages, detoxifies and stimulates almost every organ of the human body.

Everyone enjoyed their morning assembly as they carried their own #yoga mats/bed sheets to perform the #Aasanas.

SubhaNiketan children visit to post office

#BrainBreakDay @ #SubhaNiketan - As a part of Brain Break Day, our students of classes 1 and 2 visited a post office which enables them to know about the sorting, stamping and dispatching of letters. As an activity, children made the houses with ice cream sticks.

National Handloom Week Celebrations at SubhaNiketanSchool

As a part of #NationalHandloomWeek Celebrations #SubhaNiketanSchool held a wonderful programme on 27/12/2017.

The motto behind this celebration was to enlighten the children about the rich #IndianHandlooms.

The children were shown #handlooms of different states. They learnt the different stages of cloth making by witnessing live silk worms, cocoons, silk thread, charka, a model loom. They were also taught block printing. We also had a wonderful opportunity to felicitate a weaver from #uppada #MrJagannadam. He spoke about the hardships they undergo to give us the most #beautifulhandloom. Finally Children had taken an Oath to buy at least a hand woven dress every year.

The concept was: #SriRamaNavami & #Ugadi. In which the little ones activity participated by doing leaf printing using colours on paper which then transformed into #beautifulhandfans.
